Solemates
– feet buddies and perfect fits
Online shopping is convenient. No store can beat the selection. You can find the hottest drops, rarities and convenient everyday sneakers in all designs. There’s one thing though - you can never be sure if the shoe will fit you. We all know this, sometimes your size is 9,5, sometimes 10 or 10,5. And there are thousands of shoes where no size will fit perfectly. For consumers this means uncertainty, disappointment, even sore feet and for commerce returns and refunds. Millions of them.
That’s why I crafted the Solemates in 2015. The concept is like Untappd for sneakers. A social collection where people would share their sneakers, size, model and rate how the shoe fits. And by cross comparing this data, a global network of Solemates would be created.
Your Solemates are people whose feet are similar to yours in shape and size. So if a specific shoe fits them, it will very likely fit you as well. This would make online sneaker shopping a whole lot easier. Plus you could also connect with other sneakerheads and share your collection, discuss, stay updated and even form a second hand market for shoes.
For commerce Solemates would create a relevant connection with sneakerheads, data about their size, fit and preferences, and less return and refund hassle. In advertising and marketing people have been discussing a lot about big data. Here is one example of how to use it in a meaningful way.
