Year 2004. Hollywood. Me, Leo DiCaprio, Natalie Portman and others. Great collaboration. They were acting and I was checking the tickets. I left cinema in 2008 and joined TBWA\Helsinki. And here we are. I still love copywriting, concepts and all that jazz, but get even more excited about meaningful brand behaviour and new technology. Like sensors, hacking & gadgets. Gareth Kay, the then Director of Digital Strategy at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners summed it up well in 2011: Stop communicating products and start making communication products. And useful, entertaining or memorable, not interruptive, experiences. Create, don’t fill, media space. Go from saying things at people to doing things with and for people. This still stands.
